To Madeleine and the Kerr family...

I want to provide my sincerest condolences on behalf of myself, Annette Schinborn, the CAEPLA team and fellow landowners privileged to have known Ron.

CAEPLA would not exist without Ron and his brothers' support in the founding of our organization back in 2000.

Ron's unbelievable commitment and generosity to CAEPLA's pipeline class action lawsuit allowed the action to go forward, and even with its questionable judgement against us, that action cemented CAEPLA's reputation as Canada's premier national pipeline landowner organization.

Ron and I shared the stressful comradery of being the representative claimants in that lawsuit.

Later, we and a few others then travelled together across western Canada signing up 400 landowners to CAEPLA's first major negotiated pipeline agreement on a project that began in Hardisty, Alberta proceeded across Saskatchewan and ended at the US border in Gretna, Manitoba.

I personally will miss Ron's encouraging telephone calls and CAEPLA will miss another pioneer for property rights.

Thank you Madeleine for your support of Ron's commitment in defending property rights.

Ron will be remembered always.

Dave Core is the founder of CAEPLA.  He grew up on a farm with pipelines.  That, and his early experience helping other pipeline landowners resist expropriation turned Dave into a student and promoter of property rights.  Dave has worked in politics, as a poultry farmer, and owned a trucking business.  Today he is CAEPLA's Director of Special Projects, and principal at Dave Core & Associates, a consulting firm focused on helping landowners of all kinds solve problems with government, regulators, and corporations.
