Canadian taxpayers, consumers, together with farmers, ranchers and other landowners, cannot afford to have Ottawa keep doing the same thing over and over expecting different results.

Ottawa has suddenly extended a $10BILLION loan guarantee to the TransMountain Expansion project (TMX).

Consequently, the cost of completing TMX (it's only half done now) appears headed toward $40BILLION.

The Trudeau Government purchased TMX in 2018 for $4.5BILLION.

Kinder Morgan, the previous private sector owner, bailed out of the project after concluding that building pipelines in Canada had become too expensive because of anti energy, green regulations.

For years CAEPLA had been promoting our blueprint for building safe, environmentally friendly projects that respected landowners and property rights, and were completed on budget, and on time.

Just like Enbridge's Line 3 Replacement Project was (L3RP).  CAEPLA worked very closely on that project.

But the Trudeau Government has so far declined to take CAEPLA's advice on how to get pipelines built quickly and properly.

With your help, we will continue to promote our approach.  Because one thing is clear:  Canadian taxpayers, consumers, together with farmers, ranchers and other landowners, cannot afford to have Ottawa keep doing the same thing over and over expecting different results.
